The Oldsmobile was purchased from a fellow in Devils Lake, North Dakota. The car was complete although the original 371 Olds Rocket was tired and had seized solid and the floor, rockers and quarters were shot..

The required sheetmetal was hand formed. No alterations were made to the body. The only planned change will be flush fit door handles.

Inside, the stock seats will be retained. After we converted the steering to Right-Hand, a Dakota Digital insert was fitted to the original bezel. On the left side, dakota air ride gauges will replace what once held the Oldsmobile instument cluster. Kenwood Audio replaces the old AM delco radio. The original steering column and wheel was retained modified to mate to the Holden power steering rack. The column shift is retained and will connect to the TH400 with the help of an ididit column shift cable.

The front suspension is stock and was rebuild with New Old Stock ball joints and control arm cross shaft/bushing sets. Steering is handles with a Holder power steering rack and connects to the column with the help of Borgeson joints and shafts. The coil springs were ditched in favour of Slam Specialty Airbags. The shock absorbers were relocated ahead of the a-arms. Custom steel hubs were machined converting the wheel bearings to latemodel GM pickup tapered bearings . Scarebird Mechanical supplied brake adapters to upgrade the stopping power with 13" corvette rotors and calipers.
A rebuilt 454 fills the huge engine compartment on the old land-yacht nicely. The engine is basically stock withan RV style camshaft, cast intake and a quadrajet carburetor. The TH400 is also rebuild and has a B&M shift kit.
The stock 60 differential was retained. Scarebird supplied a 11" disc brake adapter kit. The Rear leafs gave way to make room for a Lo-Boy's designed triangulated 4-link suspension and Slam Specialties air bags. 20" American Eagle Wheel and Falken tired finish the ride.
