The Hard Hat Hauler (Hot Rod Forklift)
The famous hard hat hot rod forklift, created by Model Products Corporation as a hobby kit. This amazing hot rod concept was then brought to life by Mr. Bob Larivee of Promotions Incorporated and Mr. George Barris of Barris Kustom Industries.
When asked about how well this machine might perform in an industrial warehouse setting, the folks over at Forklift Train the Trainer jokingly had this to say, “Forklift Safety takes priority over everything else. If using this machine properly, someone might be able to get a whole days work done in only 2 days.”
The designs are created by Harry Bradly, were then duplicated in replica to a full size working automobile. Incorporated in its concept is the image of the American Hard Hat workers. Race Car Specialties of Tarzana, California did a magnificent job with the machine work and construction of the chassis and torsion bar suspension. Dual air shocks were installed on the front end and Carrera 50/50 shocks were used on the center mount of the rear frame.
